As my first official blog post, I wanted to share my January favorites with you! I enjoy reading and watching on YouTube monthly beauty favorites. Hope you enjoy mine!
Let's kick things off with the Anastasia Beverley Hills Contour Kit - first this was only Limited Edition, then it was re-released as permanent this last winter. That's when I finally got my hands on it. It has been my go - to EVER SINCE. There's three shades of matte contour and 3 highlight shades - (two matte and one shimmer). Very pigmented and in my opinion WORTH IT!
For eyeshadow, I've been reaching for my Lorac Pro palettes 1 & 2 a lot. You have several matte and several shimmer shades in each palette. Again, very pigmented! You can create a simple daytime look or a more dramatic look with one convenient palette. Love. Love. Love.
I recently bought Mac "Blushbaby" this last fall, and I'm pretty sure I've worn it almost every day since! It's the perfect flush to your cheekies, with a muted mauvey look.
My favorite foundations have been Kat Von D Lock It and Estee Lauder Double Wear. They are both full coverage and a matte finish. While I do not "need" full coverage foundation, that is what I prefer. I have combination skin, and these both offer superb coverage for that. I get a little more oily I've noticed with the Kat Von D foundation, but nothing crazy. The Estee Lauder is perfection on my skin, it lasts ALL day and looks flawless. They also have many shades in this foundation so it's easy to find a perfect match for anyone. This is a must buy foundation for me!
I don't always wear eyeliner, most of the time I use eyeshadow to smoke out my lower lash line, but the only ones that don't run and smear throughout the day on me are Mac. The one in particular that hasn't let me down lately is "Feline" by Mac. Glides on easy, and stays all day. It works wonders for the water line, too. I have a hard time finding an eyeliner that will stay put, since my eyes are watery.
And I can't forget my Sigma brow powder in Dark. I use this bad boy everyday and have put a major dent in it! I usually set it with a clear brow gel and it stays all day.
Next I want to share some jewelry faves of mine lately. Alex and Ani. Need I say more!?
So far I have accumulated too many! (Not possible....) I have 5 Silver bangles, and 5 Gold bangles. I am obsessed with them. You can wear just silver, just gold, mix them together, wear 2 at a time, 5 at a time, all 10! The possibilities are endless.
